Quorum Call for Senator Gerald Lewis (D., Miami)


This Quorum Call is for one of Florida's longest serving public servants. Senator Gerald Lewis was an Alabama transplant through Harvard University Law School, joining in the historic House of Representatives Class of 1966. He quickly moved on to the Senate four years later, and then defeated long time Comptroller Bud Dickinson to win his seat on the Cabinet. This Quorum Call below highlights his distinguished career of public service. Alabama's loss was Florida's gain.
