Post #9, Bob McKnight's Subscription Commentary

He was known as "Big Jim" in the Florida House of Representatives. He looked the part. Tall, muscular, and really didn't talk a lot. But that smile. And boy was he popular. On both sides of the aisle. Another irony was his district. Sure it was conservative, and totally Republican. But the Sarasota district was known for its' wealth. Jim just didn't look or play the part of big money. Just the opposite, he seemed to be a man of the people. All of the people--wealthy and not so wealthy.
