Is This Racism?

Post #74, Bob McKnight's Florida Political Commentary

Did Trump's Remarks Reflect Racism?

Racism: "Shows prejudice against people of other races."

Prejudice: "Preconceived opinion not based on reason or actual experience."

Trump: 1. Mexicans..."...they're rapists, and some, I assume are good people."

2. U.S. Border Immigration..."It's an invasion, I don't care what they say."

3. KKK [supports racism]..."There are good people on both sides."

4. Puerto Rican, Palestinian-America, Black and Muslim (2) Members of Congress should "Go back to where they came from."

5. Shoot the Immigrants. "Only in the panhandle you can get away with that," (smiling).

This is a focus just on President Trump:

His remarks reflect what are prejudice against people of other races. Without qualifying how many Mexicans he asserts are rapists, it is an opinion not based on actual experience. The Border Immigration may be a problem, but there is no proof of an actual invasion experience. The KKK does not have good people associated with the organization.

Trump's remarks reflect Racism. Even if he does not mean them. If he is using them to incite his base, then this racism is deplorable for the President of the United States.
