Just as I released my last post on Russian President Putin's dominant influence in the world, to some degree allegedly attributable to our President, this came out:
Last month the Trump Administration lifted sanctions imposed by the Republican controlled U.S. Congress on Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska. Trump Campaign Manager Paul Manafort was well know for his close financial dealings with Deripaska. The U.S. government has investigated Deripaska for money laundering, illegal wiretapping, extortion, and racketeering. The House Intelligence Committee, now chaired by Adam Schiff (D., CA.), is said to be considering hearings on the decision and bringing the Treasury Secretary in to explain the Administrations actions. The sanctions were near unanimously imposed by the Congress to punish Russia for their interference in the 2016 election.
And as of yesterday a Russian lawyer who attended the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Donald Jr., Kirchner and more, and with direct ties to Putin, was indicted for multiple crimes by a Federal Grand Jury.
